Limits of Persistency
Instructor: Alice White (recording) [Glenn Langenburg live to host]
Course Description:
In this pre-recorded lecture, Alice addresses the limits of persistency in friction ridge skin. She demonstrates the changes that can occur in friction ridge skin, both externally and internally to cause differences in recordings as one grows and ages. We explore various skin diseases and damage, such warts, psoriasis, and calluses. The impact of hand and foot growth on friction ridge appearance is discussed. Finally, Alice explains complex aging processes experienced by friction ridge skin and that these processes, can and do often create changes in the appearance and recording of friction ridge skin as we age.
Note: This webinar is an excellent companion piece to “Limits of Uniqueness”; both webinars will challenge some fundamental assumptions and beliefs that we have on these critical underpinnings of friction ridge examination.
